One of the things that has definitely worked to improve how I feel is increasing my daily protein intake. It has not been easy though and I eventually decided to try protein powder, which I know can be controversial but it has helped me.
I was having a blueberry smoothie for breakfast, so it made sense to add the protein powder to that. If I try something else for breakfast that doesn’t have as much protein, I can feel it.
I use a pea protein powder that is vegan and gluten free and is about as natural and free from nasties as I think I am going to get it. But there are so many different powders out there. Read labels, research brands and find one that works for you.
Protein Packed Blueberry Smoothie
Ingredients
- 1 cup blueberries. frozen
- 1 banana
- 2 tbsp greek yoghurt
- 2 tbsp protein powder
- 1 tbsp chia seeds
- 1 cup almond milk
Instructions
- Blend everything together in a smoothie maker/blender.
